The goal of this website is to remove body scanning capabilities from all government entities. The invasion of privacy and potential health concerns do not warrant this kind of power in corrupt government’s hands.
As with all government programs, having full-body scanners in the airports is only the first step. They are already being deployed in federal buildings. In the not-too-distant future we will see them on ordinary street corners, in bus stations, in malls… even mobile versions that can roam cities looking for so-called terrorists.
This may sound far-fetched, but if not stopped technology may progress to the point where these body scanning devices may become so inexpensive and portable that anybody could own one. Health and privacy be damned – you won’t be able to deter anyone from beaming you with harmful rays to see what you look like under your clothes and what you are carrying. (And if you think it does sound far-fetched, remember when being taxed for breathing used to be incomprehensible?)

I love your site! We have designed radiation blocking under garments to protect the pubic from his madness. This high power x-ray equipment has no business doing mass screening of the public. This is a cancer time bomb, particularity for the kids and expecting mothers. Keep up your great work!!!

Charlotte, NC, 10/11/10 (Columbus Day-Federal Holiday). Arrived at 4:30AM for 6:00 AM flight. Long lines everywhere to checkpoints. TSA did not open until 5:15 AM and I arrived at my flight at 5:50 AM and I was at 1/4-1/3 of the line. Did the people way back get to their flights? I performed the “take off the shoes, jewelry, jakcket, place everything in trays ritual”. I had not thought about taking off my watch. They said I had to go through body scanner. Agent said take off your watch. My jewelry had already gone through (inexpensive silver jewelry). She took my watch and threw it into another bowl. I had no control over what she did, aside of arguing with her, but what if this had been an expensive watch. Would I have seen it again?
Why do they tell you to get to airport early when all you do is stand in line. Everybody in line was surprisingly pleasant and patient. We should be revoting against this ridiculous invasion of our privacy and embarrassing procedures.
I went on TSA website and reported it. Everyone should register their complaints, loudly and often.
And report to ACLU. Also, I think you can have a/your lawyer witness the pat down.
hello:
interesting site !
you should make your articles forwardable viy email to others. this could serve the purpose immensly.

Great suggestion. I will take care of this in the next day or two.
Dogs are the most effective, quickest, cheapest security screener, and security knows this fact. Demand it!
Sans dogs, how about we drop pants and lift shirts, but no touching allowed. (private area required with no cameras, except maybe you collect your own video for legal purposes)
