My son is a sworn law enforcement officer, and he can't use this type of pat down. Don't let Napolitano fool you, these are unconstitutional searches, without probable cause and without a warrant signed by a judge.

Napolitano is making it up as she goes along

Canadians need to wake the hell up! They need to start refusing to fly, refusing to get searched let alone go through the scanners. Many states in the US, Italy and several other countries are refusing the pat downs and removing the body scanners. You are NOT a criminal and you should not have your civil liberties violated! Wake up Canada! Stop watching DANCING WITH THE STARS !

I do not understand why this is in the Scam category. There are great points brought up in this article. I am so tired of the TSA and want to see them disbanded completely. No one should be made to choose between being radiated or groped sexually. And it is all "Theater;" it does nothing to make anyone safer.

Totally agree. But heaven forbid - that would 'offend' muslims. Tough luck, I say.

Dogs are the perfect solution... And believe it or not, in Angola or Mozambique they use rats to sniff out landmines.

Anyone who says 'it's for safety' after hearign abotu this woman, who is also a RAPE VICTIM, is flat-out reprehensible.

I'd like to know how those people who agree with this method of search would feel if it were their daughter, or sister, or other female relative. Let's see how quickly they change their tune.

I endured the Castscope in Denver this past Sunday, April 10th. The TSA guy took 20 x-rays of my legs (RBK/LAK) and 40 minutes later was finally done. A few years ago I was in Denver again and they took 2-3 x-rays which I was hesitant to do even then. I joked that I was glowing.

My concern/question is that if the TSA isn't even going to purchase any Castscopes beyond the initial 11 then why is it mandatory in the airports that do have the Castscope? If I were an amputee terrorist I would know which airports had them and avoid those airports, the TSA is fishing with a tore up net and the only result is irradiating everyday amputees.

After my Castscope was complete I asked the TSA supervisor (very calmly so I would not get thrown out of the airport and miss my flight) why they had to take 20 x-rays. she indicated she thought that was excessive until her manager showed up set us both straight and got in my face for even asking the question (wish I had a Gestapo application to leave with them) . One of my other questions was if the TSA Agent that performed the x-rays had any training and the answer was a definitive "no".

This experience upset me greatly, while I don't enjoy the pat-downs, I would like the choice of pat-down (just like every other airport performs) or x-ray.
